[MyCrimson Mentoring] MyCrimson Mentoring program
Why is having a mentor important?
Having a mentor can means a lot in life.
The advantages of having mentors are that they can help you:
1) figure out what you want in life (Goal setting)
2) reduce trial and error process by learning from the experience of someone who has done it before you, be it studying for exam or finding your interests (Efficiency)
3) increase your chances of achieving the success you want (Effectiveness)
While there are many mentoring programs available out there, most are focused on short-term topics and stick to a few, certain topic (e.g., academics and/or success), and many times the mentor simply gives the mentee a pep talk.
But what students need are advice and solutions from someone who is experienced and has a long-term perspective on the problems they have faced before, which can be directly applicable to the students.
MyCrimson’s qualified mentors provide real mentorship for our students.
Each lecture will focus on one of the eight big topics that many students have a common need for, and mentors will not just identify individual students’ pain points via online/offline meetings but also provide tailored solutions specific to their needs.
In addition to any of the 7 topics listed below, any other specific needs for students will be catered if there is a need.
· How to find what you love to do for life and major in college
